Creative Ways To Get Quiet For The Next Activity

Creative Ways To Get Quiet For The Next Activity

There are so many fun ways to get those rhythm sticks quiet so you can present a new activity:

With enthusiasm, say…

“Bunny Ears!

Shoulder Holders!

Walrus!

Unicorn!

Make an X

Make 11

Make an L

Make a V

Make a T

Tap 3 times

Scrape 4 times

Lay them down for a nap”

You can also ask the kids to make their own character, letter or shape with their sticks. (Our sticks are durable with a high quality sound, safely short with one smooth and one ribbed.)

Here’s a great one for timing, rhyming and free exploration time!

Warm Up With These Melting Snowmen & Valentines

Warm Up With These Melting Snowmen & Valentines

So many of us are excited to hear of the warmer weather this weekend. Now its time for some creative melting while playing descending accompaniment on Orff!

Warmer weather and melting snow also reminds me of the time I got to see Subnivean! The melting snow exposed the little City Under the Snow!

The kids LOVE to sing and act out this amazing magical place and learn its for real! Visuals/PowerPoint and lessons are free to members in the curriculum and Music Box.

Teachers and Kids Take Survey – The Same Favorite Activities!

Teachers and Kids Take Survey – The Same Favorite Activities!

At the end of every school year, I ask the children what their favorite activities were. I also survey the teachers after the training to find out if there’s something they especially enjoy.

The two things that seem to always top the chart year after year is…

PUPPETS and STORIES!

Visit my YouTube channel – Lynn Kleiner’s Music Rhapsody (Subscribe! It’s free!) and watch Puppets with a Purpose to learn how to bump up the participation, success and fun in your classroom by using puppets.

Then enjoy some puppet shopping! Members should use their coupon code found on the home page of Music Box to get their member discount!

Go to Music Box to find FREE lessons for Stories With Music in Music Box Downloads.

Now, check out a bit of the fun teachers had last week with puppets, stories and more.

I’m so excited to see many of you in a few weeks in New York City!!!
