Movement and Percussion, So Much Fun!

Movement and Percussion, So Much Fun!

I’m so excited for the September 28 Workshop in Pasadena!

New Videos!

The first, Ten Froggies (Orff, movement, felt set) shows more an adult version of the movement, since the jumping is only on the specific number of the frog. HA! The children LOVE to jump on every number, in fact, many keep on jumping until the word STOP. This is the perfect activity for those very ACTIVE classes.

Thanks to the Kansas Orff Chapter for a fun version of this song!

Percussion Circle shows several classics for young ones. Free exploration and structure are the winning combo.

Grade 2-4

Here’s a glimpse at two (watch both videos in the playlist!) summer trainings after we had created a spider web out of a yarn ball as a part of The Very Busy Spider.

Every time we sang the phrase “The spider kept on spinning,” the yarn ball was rolled to someone across the circle. (Remember!!! Hold the yarn before you roll the ball again!) This video shows the very end, when the spider catches the bugs.

Listen for the solos in and Orff instruments (in the second playlist video), and important parts of the story!

Happy music making!
