Here’s a YouTube playlist of songs from my Travel Theme. From babies to 8th grade, from a car, wagon, boat or plane, there’s a song for your music makers! Even a girl named Sally in a rocket ship!
First up will be Trav’lin Blues. Our easy color coded “music map” makes it easy for even beginners to play some of the colors! Notice our 4-6 year olds demonstrating the I, IV and V chord changes while the older students play the Orff orchestration and sing this awesome song written by our dear friend, Paul Cummings.
This song pack includes lesson plans, hand outs, PowerPoint and more. Check out Recorder Rookies, set 2, now at a reduced price in musicrhapsody.com/shop. (Music Box Members use your discount code)
This week, I had a request for the “Sandy Sandy Sand” video from my Teacher Training Course. Whether you take live or online training, this song is used as an example of LOTS of opportunities for solos and how they improve pitch matching. Plus this just wakes up the brain!
Additional tips for how to do this in a class setting, how to do it in a concert, a behavior management tip, can be found in this week’s Sandy Sandy Sand Music Box forum. (Not yet a member? Join the Fun!)
I’d like to highlight something just added to the Digital Download area for Holiday Songs and Winter Adventures. There’s something new for Stars are Shining!
And if you are in Pasadena Saturday morning for my playshop, you just may be Dancin with the Stars!
