Babies instinctively respond to music! In this interactive class, parents and babies learn delightful rhymes, lullabies, floor and lap games, action songs and dances that stimulate a baby’s natural response to music. Learn about your baby’s musical development and learn activities to share in class and use at home. Bond with your baby while developing his or her listening and motor skills, language development and sense of balance and timing.

Toddlers Make Music
Ages One and Two with Parent
Class Length: 45 minutes
You and your toddler will learn delightful songs, dances and musical acitivites that focus on singing and keeping a steady beat to enhance timing, coordination, listening and language skills. High-quality percussion instruments are used alongside puppets, stories and colorful props to make this a very special music time. The repetition of activities and songs assists participation, language development and memory and improves coordination and timing. Toddlers learn to express their feelings productively. The activities also help to develop the imagination and the ability to focus.

Kids Make Music
Ages Two and Three with Parent
Class Length: 45 minutes
Participate with your young child in singing, dancing and playing instruments in this lively, musical class. Solo singing is encouraged to develop listening, pitch-matching and language skills. Concepts such as high and low, loud and soft, up and down are taught in a game-like atmosphere. Puppets, felts and props add to the special music making experience. Participation will improve coordination and develop a sense of musical timing, phrase and form. Children learn to express their feelings productively as their imagination and focus improve. Self-confidence grows with each class.

Big Kids Make Music
Ages Three and Four with Parent
Class Length: 45 minutes
Children are immediately excited by the fun and high quality Orff instruments they get to play! Big Kids Make Music features exciting musical games, rhymes and stories. Children develop a sense of timing and coordination through solo singing and group playing on the Orff instruments. Solo singing games improve listening, pitch matching and tone quality. Participation builds your child’s musical literacy foundation and continues to improve physical and literacy skills.

Young Musicians Make Music
Ages Four and Five, Parents attend at the discretion of the Teacher
Class Length: 45 minutes
Young Musicians have fun and are fully engaged as they sing, play, create, explore and move! Improvisation, accompaniment, composition and arranging develop through group playing of Orff instruments. Introduction of numerous parts for students to play in ensemble bring a more developed sense of timing, listening skills and concentration. Participation builds your child’s musical literacy and physical skills.
